My Review:
Valentine's Day is the perfect time of the year to think of your spouse in more tangible ways than any other time of the year. It is a season dedicated to one word---LOVE. The 5 Love Languages for Men, is another reminder of the original book, The 5 Love Languages. A best seller in it's own right that has reached millions with it's message of learning your spouse and learning what drives them. I can tell you after 20 years of marriage it doesn't really get easier but it definitely gets better. Things seem to mean more and are more sincere than they were 20 years ago.
Gary Chapman, has gave us a visual of sorts on how to make love great and long lasting by taking us back to some simple "love rules" and getting our hearts and our brains to reconnect in order to carry out the love that started it all in the first place. My husband having read the book will affirm what he has been learning recently, which is he has to relearn me. After many years of marriage, you and your spouse grow and change. This relearning process shouldn't be something that is a trying process, but should be something we jump at the chance of conquering.
The author gives you 5 love languages and implores you to discover them in yourself and in your spouse. He even gives you the tools to become fluent in each. There are two personal profiles in the back of the book for you to access each of these in your significant other in a way to put the "sizzle" back in your marriage.
